Sweet Sale

Krystal and I made a sign for Tricia this past week for her store front at Travis AFB. Tricia works for a framing shop on base which has a "Sweet Sale" for the entire month of February. When you go into the shop there are candy treasures wrapped in a special wrapper that reveals a coupon for a framing discount. This sign was quite the challenge. We started off with the chipboard coasters (purchased from a fellow SCS'er) and used 4x4 squares of SU Real Red with the dot stamp from Polka Dot and Paisley. Then a stencil was used for the letters and was painstakingly cut out in Naturals White CS and stamped with Soft Swirls BG (retired) in Close to Cocoa, then the hearts were colored in with a Real Red marker. The edges of each letter were then sponged with Close to Cocoa to define the edges and give some depth. The large circle brads are from MM (Making Memories).
This pictures shows what each individual letter looks like. This sign is double sided so can be read from outside and inside the store. Taupe Grosgrain (grow-grain) ribbon was used to connect the letters together. The ribbon was glued with Tombo Mono Multi between the coasters. This glue can stick almost anything together and it won't fall apart. Highly recommended!!!
